Day of German Unity 🇩🇪

Once again this year we had the honour of being invited to the German Embassy in Ljubljana on the Day of German Unity.

We had the honour of meeting the new ambassador, Mrs Sylvia Groneick, shortly after she took office. We wish her all the best for her upcoming period of duty.

More than 30 years of unity and democracy were celebrated on this day. 🎉🧩

Slovenian Foundrymen Conference 2024

The 64th Slovenian Foundry Conference (DLS), held in September 2024 in Portorož, was once again a key event for the international foundry community for our wonderful team from LIGO and ZÜRN. 🇸🇮🏭

Experts, scientists, and industry professionals from various countries gathered to discuss the latest technological advancements and challenges in the foundry sector.

This year’s conference focused on several critical topics, including:

Circular economy and sustainable innovations in the foundry industry
Advances in casting alloys and new material solutions
Automation and artificial intelligence in production processes
Energy efficiency and reducing the carbon footprint in foundry operations

The accompanying exhibition provided an excellent opportunity to explore cutting-edge technologies and products from leading companies in the sector. Participants were able to gain valuable insights into the future of foundry technology through these innovative solutions.

Networking played a crucial role at the conference, fostering the exchange of knowledge between academia and industry. Once again, the picturesque coastal town of Portorož proved to be the perfect venue, offering a relaxed and inspiring setting for the sharing of expertise.

The 64th DLS 2024 set a high standard for technological progress and knowledge exchange within the industry, reaffirming its position as a must-attend forum for all those involved in foundry technology.
